VICTORIA MONET’S DAUGHTER, HAZEL, CELEBRATES AT HER PRE-GRAMMY EVENT

Hazel Monét-Gaines stole the show at her recent Grammy Award dinner alongside her parents, Victoria Monét and John Gaines.

Dressed in a stunning black and gold dress, the 2-year-old stood out among her friends, who nailed the black-tie dress code.

Hollywood’s A-list toddlers, including the daughter of singer Danileigh, graced Hazel’s extravagant party. The youngsters had a fantastic time indulging in delectable treats and bouncing around in a  inflatable house. The dinner was just one of the many events leading up to the 66th annual Grammy Awards, which will take place on February 4, 2024.

Just shy of her third birthday, Hazel Monét has made history by becoming the youngest Grammy nominee ever. The young tot is nominated for Best Traditional R&B Performance for her role as a featured artist on her mom’s track “Hollywood,” alongside the iconic Earth, Wind & Fire.

Victoria Monét, who earned seven Grammy nominations herself, expressed immense pride in her daughter’s achievement.

“I’m so proud of her, but she has no idea. She’s just on the phone watching Baby Shark, chilling, while we’re all celebrating,” Monét shared with Billboard in November 2023.

She added, “I know I’ll be able to explain it to her when she gets older, and she’ll definitely appreciate it because she’s already into music and is starting to write songs unknowingly.”

If “Hollywood” secures the award for Best Traditional R&B Performance, Hazel Monét will not only be the youngest Grammy winner but will also hold this record either as an individual or as part of a group or duo.

The current record for the youngest individual Grammy winner is held by Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Blue Ivy clinched the award for Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl” at the age of 8 years and 322 days.
