TWO SETS OF NEW YEAR’S TWINS WERE BORN IN DIFFERENT YEARS

Congratulations are in order for two different families as they welcome two sets of New Year‘s twins to the world under extremely unique circumstances. Both sets of twins were born in both 2023 and in 2024, straddling the stroke of midnight.

Parents from Connecticut and New Jersey both had one baby born slightly before midnight on Dec. 31, 2023 and the other was born in the early hours of Jan. 1, 2024.

At Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, Mykel and Aliyah Kiyomi Morris welcomed a baby girl and baby boy, both weighing 6 pounds, 9 ounces. The Morris’ son Seven Morris was born at 11:59 am on December 31, 2023 with his “little sister” arriving at 12:02 am on January 1, 2024.

The twins’ mother shared a carousel of images of the newborns on social media thanking everyone for their support and saying that, “Mommy & Daddy have the best story to tell.”

The new mother shared with her followers that the unique circumstances of her twins’ birth is very “on brand” for her children already.

“The first 48 hours. Welcoming Souli Milan & Seven Mykel. Overwhelmed with LOVE is an understatement, I knew having twins was already a big thing but who knew my babies would be making their grand entrance into the world so known LOL. Very “on brand” once again.”

Eve and Billy Humphrey of New Jersey added Ezra, born 11:48 pm on 12/31, weighing 6 pounds, and Ezekiel, born 12:28 am on 1/1, weighing 4 pounds and 15 ounces, to the family. The birth of the twins made the Humphrey’s eldest son Hezekiah a two-time big brother.

Ezra and his father share the same birthday, on December 31, while “little brother” Ezekiel kicked-off the new year all on his own.

“The boys are here!” Humphrey shared an image of his twins on social media. “And they’re so special, they couldn’t even share being born in the same year. Ezra, born 12/31/23 (same birthday as Dad). Ezekiel, born 1/1/24.”

For the Humphrey’s December and January are truly filled with amazing moments to celebrate. December 7th is mom’s birthday. December 12th is the couple’s wedding anniversary. December 31st was already dad’s birthday, which now he has to share, and January 3, is Hezekiah’s birthday. Well, it looks like Ezra and Ezekiel will fit into this family just fine!

Congratulations to both the Morris’s and Humphrey’s. Both families do indeed have exciting stories to tell!
