Yesterday, Summer Walker surprised her fans by sharing a glimpse of her twin boys on Instagram. However, the joyous moment was overshadowed by ignorant comments about the twins’ skin color.
While many gushed about how cute the boys were, some fans wondered why the twins were so “light” compared to their mom.
One person stated, “They’re so light-skinned, them not her last man’s babies.”
Another curious fan questioned why the twins appeared lighter in complexion when both Summer and her ex-boyfriend, Larry Williams, are “dark-skinned”.
“It’s so crazy how her twins are so lightskin but her and the [baby daddy] darkskin.”
In response to the barrage of comments, Summer Walker took to her Instagram stories to set the record straight. She addressed the issue head-on, stating, “Why my boys are light,” and proceeded to share family photos, including those of her cousins, mom, grandma, and great-grandfather.
By doing so, she aimed to educate her followers about the diverse genetic makeup within her family and highlight that the twins’ skin color was well within the range of possibilities.

Despite her attempts to provide context, not everyone supported the idea of Walker explaining her children’s complexion. One person expressed their dismay on social media, stating, “Summer Walker explaining why her twins are so bright is so sad. I’d be damned if I start explaining to anybody why my son is the brightest in the house tf.”

Summer and her ex-boyfirend, Larry Williams aka Lvrd Pharoh, welcomed their twin sons earlier this year.
