Jason Isbell filed for divorce from his wife, Amanda Shires, on December 15, 2023, per court documents obtained by Closer in February. The country star and the singer were married for nearly 11 years and share one child together, daughter Mercy.
“We’re all getting along right now. It’s hard and sad, and I don’t enjoy it, but … I’m in a good place,” he told People after news of their split broke. “Mercy’s happy. She knows, no matter what, she’s going to be loved and safe and cared for.”
