Shannon Sharpe Goes In On Mike Epps After Comedian Alleges Podcaster Is Gay, Says He Turned Down Offer To Be On Sharpe’s Show: ‘Say My Name Again And I’m Gonna Release The DM, You’re A Mofo Lie’

Update (Feb. 12): Shannon Sharpe has a message for Mike Epps. He responded to the comedian’s diss on Sunday’s (Feb. 11) episode of his Nightcap show with fellow former NFL player Chad Johnson.

“Mention my name again, and I’m gonna put the DM … and I don’t like doing this. But you’re lying. I don’t care about all that other stuff.  You can say I’m gay … I don’t care about that. ‘Cause I won’t chase a lie. But I won’t let you lie on my name.”

He continued and said he could “deal with” all of the rumors about him — like accusations that he only dates white women — and told Mike Epps,

“Say my name again, and I’m gonna release the DM. Because you’re lying. You said I reached out to you to come on Club Shay Shay, and you’re a mofo lie. Now when I see you, I’m gon’ see if you’re about that. I’m gon’ see if you want to say what you been saying, trying to get some jokes because you got mad because Katt Williams did what he did.”

He reiterated,

“I’m gon’ see, if him talking all that, with them tight ass leather pants on trying to be funny, I’m gon’ see if you about that. Say my name again. Be like Destiny’s Child and ‘Say my name, say my name.’ I got something for your ass.”

He went on to say that speculation that he’s gay doesn’t impact

my bottom line. If it was starting to effect my bottom line, I’m gon’ make you put your cards on the table. But that don’t bother me. It’s that you lied, and you didn’t have to. Say your little joke, get your little laugh on, have fun. Just don’t lie and say I said something when I didn’t. You know who you are mofo.”

“When I see you, I’m a pull up, and I’m a see if you bout that. ‘Cause I’m bout it with you.”

While Chad Johnson was in the dark about who Sharpe was discussing, he backed him 100 percent and said he’s riding with him “as soon as I get off probation.”

Sharpe said that although he typically keeps to himself, he’s ready to confront Epps about his remarks.

“If you really want me, send for me. I’ll come. Now, when I’m coming, I got special handling. I come with shipping and handling, ’cause I’m a make sure you get it.”

Chad Johnson co-signed and added,

“Make sure you put your address n*gga. We’ll be there.”

Sharpe added that Epps can,

“Say what you want to say about me. Don’t lie on me. All I want to know is how you want to do it bro. Slide your number and I’ll get with you.”

Original Story (Feb. 11): Comedian Mike Epps says he won’t be a guest on Shannon Sharpe‘s podcast anytime soon.

The jokester explained why during a recent comedy show where he implied that the former NFL star turned podcaster may be gay.

During the performance, Mike Epps, 53, stated:

“That n*gga Shannon Sharpe called me trying to do an interview. I said ‘no Medea, I ain’t doing no interview with you’ – so you can sit across from me and look at my balls,”

Referencing his colleague Katt Williams’ viral interview with Sharpe, he added:

“I thought he was gone attack Katt”

Going on to double down on his suspicions about Sharpe’s sexual preferences, Epps continued:

“The n*gga sh*t is called Shay Shay the n*gga is telling you. Put a wig on that motherf*cker and tell me if that ain’t motherf*cking Madea sister.”

It appears that Epps was discussing the “messy” nature of Sharpe’s podcast before joking about his sexuality. As we’ve extensively covered, the talk series called Club Shay Shay has certainly amassed quite the attention due to its recent interviews with Katt Williams and Mo’Nique. The “Friday After Next” star upset a lot of his fellow comedians by calling them out for allegedly stealing ideas and being unfunny – according to him.

While Mo’Nique, who most recently appeared as a guest on the series, caused a stir by comparing the Hollywood pay discrimination conversations she’s been advocating for for years to that of Taraji P. Henson’s recent conversations about the topic. Additionally, “The Parkers” star discussed her well known beef with Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, & Lee Daniels, as well as her issues with Charlamagne The God. The later ended up offering Mo’Nique a public apology for the previous things he said about her.

While not much is known about Sharpe’s dating history, it’s noted that the media personality has never married. It doesn’t appear that he’s reacted to Epps‘ comments about him at this time.
