Rohan Marley has nothing but good things to say about his ex and mother of five of his children, Lauryn Hill.
While speaking to We In Miami Podcast, Marley praised the Grammy-winning artist, lauding her for her exceptional parenting skills.
Despite the challenges they may have faced in their past relationship, Marley holds Hill in high regard as the mother of their children.
“As a human being and as the mother of my children, I highly respect her,” he said.
Reflecting on Hill’s parenting style, Rohan highlighted his appreciation for her approach, noting, “She lets her children live and be themselves. That’s what I love. I like her ideology as a person.”
“She is [freaking] fantastic,” Marley added, underscoring his deep admiration for Hill’s character and maternal instincts.
He also reminisced about his involvement in Hill’s iconic album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” stating that he was there to support her in any way she needed during the recording process.
“During the album of ‘The Miseducation’, I was always in the studio, there, and present. My help [was] whatever she needed in that moment.”
“You gotta build with the mother of your children,” he continued. “You gotta respect them. You gotta make sure they are good because that energy is what you want to give to your children.”
Sharing his musical preferences, he revealed, “My favorite artist outside my brothers and sisters in reggae is Lauryn Hill.”
Marley, who has a total of twelve children, spoke with immense pride about his offspring, describing them as “beautiful” and “creative.”
During their time together, Lauryn and Rohan welcomed five children: Zion (1997), Selah (1998), Joshua (2001), John (2003), and Sara (2008). Hill later welcomed her son Micah in 2011, from another relationship.
