Earlier this year, our Editor in Chief Kat Collings did something that she does from time to time and visited her local Nordstrom to try on dozens of items (in this instance, basics), documenting them along the way. Among her favorite pieces was a stunning yet simple mixed-media dress (meaning that the bodice and skirt are made of different materials).
The top of the dress was a fitted tank while the bottom had a poplin-like full skirt. It was as elegant as it gets.
