Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver Mecole Hardman has every reason to celebrate, both on and off the field.
Not only did he play a pivotal role in securing the Super Bowl victory for his team last night, but he’s also preparing to welcome another baby with his pregnant girlfriend, Chariah Gordon.
In an Instagram post following the Chiefs’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers, Chariah expressed her admiration for Hardman.
She wrote, “Watching you get EVERYTHING you deserve! 3x SB Champ!!!!!!!! Congratulations baby! We never gave up & stayed faithful to God!!! NOW LOOK them tables always turn !!!”
Chariah and Mecole are expecting their second child together after welcoming their son on February 12, 2023, the same day as the Super Bowl showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles
Gordon went into labor and brought their son into the world. Hardman, despite being on injured reserve due to a pelvic injury, was able to witness the birth of his son.
Now almost a year later, the couple are expecting a baby girl! Shortly after their baby shower in November 2023, Gordon shared the joyous news on social media.
“A moment to remember. IT’S A GIRL!!!!!” she posted alongside photos from the celebration.
For Hardman, the 2023 NFL season was a rollercoaster ride. Starting with the New York Jets and later rejoining the Chiefs, his journey was filled with ups and downs. However, his perseverance and dedication paid off when he caught the winning touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl LVIII, sealing the victory for the Chiefs.
Reflecting on the pivotal moment, Hardman admitted, “I ain’t gonna lie man, I caught that pass and I blacked out,” he said on CBS’ postgame show “I didn’t know what was going on until I saw Pat running to me and I was like, ‘Oh, we just won? Let’s celebrate!’”
