Lizzo Says ‘I Quit’ In Cryptic Social Media Post, Claims She’s Tired Of ‘Being Dragged By Everyone’

Lizzo is seemingly quitting music.

In a cryptic post on Instagram, the rapper and singer announced she’s had enough of critics. Lizzo wrote,

“I’m getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet. All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it.”

The “Truth Hurts” singer criticized the false narratives she claimed were being told about her.

“But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it. I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout and views.”

Lizzo is currently facing a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by three of her former dancers. The lawsuit alleged Lizzo created a hostile work environment and sexually harassed employees, which the singer has denied. She is also facing another lawsuit from another former employee who alleged that Lizzo allowed bullying, harassment, and racial discrimination on her team.

Also, in her Friday (March 29) statement on social media, the four-time Grammy winner went on to say she is tired of

“being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… my character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name.”

The Yitty clothing brand owner concluded,

“I didn’t sign up for this sh*t — I QUIT.”

In the comments, celebrities like Paris Hilton and comedian Jackee Harry shared words of encouragement.

Paris Hilton wrote,

“We love you Queen.”

Jackee Harry commented,

“Don’t do it, honey. We need you. We need your art.”
