Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley recently hosted a spectacular Met Gala-Gatsby themed birthday party for their daughter, Sara Marley, who turned 16 on January 3.
The grand event took place at the prestigious Cipriani Ballroom in the heart of New York City on January 13, and featured performances by artists like Miguel and Tierra Whack, and dancers who flawlessly embodied the roaring 20s theme.
Rohan shared glimpses of the event on Instagram showcasing Sara joyfully commemorating the milestone with friends and loved ones within the expansive Cipriani venue.
In his caption, he expressed gratitude to Lauryn Hill for orchestrating the unforgettable celebration.
“My Princess , we have so much beautiful memories in this moment … I Love You @whoissaramarley,” he began his caption. “Thank You to Your amazing Mother @mslaurynhill no one does it better.”
For the occasion, Sara stole the spotlight in a stunning floor-length white Galia Lahav gown. The dress, aptly named “NALA,” was a vision of sheer metallic beaded splendor.
Later, she switched to a shorter JILL” Lahav mini dress, which was crafted from iridescent embellished sequins and feather.
Sara’s boyfriend also looked dapper in a complimenting tuxedo, and the couple exuded elegance as they danced the night away.

Lauryn Hill shares five children-Zion, Selah, Joshua, John and Sara- with Rohan. The “Killing Me Softly” singer also has a son named Micah, the youngest of the bunch. However, it is unknown who his father is.
Hill and Marley are also grandparents as their sons Joshua and Zion have kids of their own.
