KEKE PALMER WOULD “LOVE A SOCCER TEAM OF KIDS”

In a new interview, multi-hyphenated entertainer Keke Palmer is speaking exclusively to Us Weekly about the number of children that she would like to have. The already mother-of-one, told the outlet that she would “love a soccer team of kids.”

“Honestly, I would like a soccer team of kids. Give me 10,” the 30-year-old told the outlet while promoting her partnership with Chips Ahoy! and their MMMProved Getaway Sweepstakes. “I would love tons.”

A soccer team officially consists of 11 players on the field: the goalkeeper and ten outfield players. Perhaps Palmer’s son, Leodis “Leo” Andrellton, can serve as the Team Palmer’s goalkeeper as he is the first born, leaving space for ten more siblings.

She continued in the interview, joking, “I really want to just be, like, at least Diana Ross and at most Eddie Murphy. I want a lot of kids.” R&B icon Diana Ross, 79, has five children. Comedic legend Eddie Murphy, 62, is the father of 10 children.

In February of this year, Leo hit his first milestone birthday as he turned one-year-old. The former Nickelodeon star took to Instagram to wish her son a happy birthday in a touching post. Palmer started out her caption on the carousel of images, “Happy Birthday son I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.”

‘You came into my life today at 3:28pm, but I knew even before then that you were the strongest person I ever knew. There were so many moments during my pregnancy where your silent strength would give me peace. This is something you still do just with your mere existence!”

“You make my life so worth living. …,” she continued, concluding her post, “Even with all the pain and suffering one has to experience here. I will do it over and over again, because I know that I’d be with YOU! I will live, I will smile, I will cry, I’ll be angry, I’ll have love and I’ll have pain, I will find JOY. I will do all the things.. for you. It’s so easy to say no, it’s so easy to say GOODBYE. But I say YES and I say HELLO to LIFE because of YOU! I’m so happy for my son. Thank you God. I love you so much buddy.”

Palmer shares her son with her ex-Darius Jackson. The breakup and custody battles have had extremely turbulent moments for the pair; however, the Nope actress told Us that she is trying her best to be focused on motherhood, supporting her son’s special moments, and getting used to his already cemented independence.

“My son is very independent and I found out that I’m actually quite clingy and needy. He doesn’t really care to be bothered with me too much. He does when he wants to, and he’ll be sitting there patiently waiting for the kisses to come in. But when he’s done with me, he’s done with me, and he really likes to do his own thing.”

“I love that my son is independent because I like that I know that he’s going to always be good. He’s kind of like, ‘Mom, I got my own life going on,’” Palmer added before concluding, “But also it’s like, ‘Baby, you’re only 1 year old. What kind of life could you have?’ And he’s like, ‘I’m watching Ms. Rachel. I’m playing with my trucks.’”

We may have nailed his position on the team. With Leo’s personality, it seems as if he was born to be the goalie of Team Palmer!
