Julez Smith made his runway debut at the Luar show during February 2024 New York Fashion Week on February 13, 2024 in New York City. The 19-year-old not only had the support from his famous aunt Beyoncé, and grandmother, Tina Knowles, but also from his mom, Solange Knowles.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Julez posted a series of photos from the night, acknowledging the invaluable support of his family.
He wrote, “So Grateful for the opportunity to walk for @luar. My family for all the support on my debut. @raulzepol you’re an inspiration for me and everyone around the world. @solangeknowles Momma you are my second lung and I thank you for always pushing me and modeling me into who I am. Love yall .”
Fans flooded Julez’s post with positive comments, noting the evident pride on Solange’s face as she watched her son shine on the runway.
“Solange face. you can tell you’re making her aooo proud,” one person said.

Solange, Beyoncé, Tina Knowles, and a few other family members sat front row as they watched Julez command the runway, walking out in an all-leather ensemble with faux-fur sleeves and the Ana bag as a backpack. Proud mama Solange took her seat away from the reserved spots, opting instead to sit with designer Christopher John Rogers.
After the show, Tina took to social media to praise her grandson for his debut. Sharing a video of the teenager’s closing walk around to her Instagram page, Tina wrote, “Julez closing out Fashion Week walking for @Luar Raul these clothes are fire !!!”
In another post, the family matriach shared, “Congratulations My Julez so proud of you ❤️ @luar fashion show designer with RaulLopez! You did great!!! We love you.”
