Ja Rule wrote on X,

“I’m so devastated I can’t believe the UK won’t let me in I’ve spent a half million dollars in production of my own money to put this tour together only to be denied entry DAYS before my shows this is not fair to me or my fans these venues are 85% sold and now I can’t come…”

In another post, the rap superstar added,

“The UK is one of the few European countries that restricts entry to people with criminal records. In general, you will likely be denied entry if you have been convicted of a crime punishable by 23 months or more under British law or served more than 12 months in prison. This…”

In December 2023, Ja Rule announced his Sunrise Tour, which was scheduled to feature stops in the U.K., Ireland, and Scotland. Alongside Ja Rule, The Sunrise Tour was also slated to showcase additional acts such as R&B artists Keri Hilson, Lloyd, and MYA.

Ja Rule previously shared that the purpose of the tour was to celebrate his 25 years of success in the music industry.

The Sunrise Tour was meant to precede the 25th anniversary of Ja Rule’s debut album, Venni Vetti Vecci. The album hit the shelves on June 1, 1999, under Murder Inc. Records and Def Jam. It entered the Billboard charts at No. 3 on the top 200 chart, and in its first week, it sold 184,000 physical copies, according to reports.
