Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry is sharing rare photos of her 10-year-old son, Maceo-Robert Martinez.
Recently, the 57-year-old mom of two scored “cool points” with her son as she arranged a meeting between him and retired soccer legend, David Beckham.
Maceo and his famous mother attended the Inter Miami’s game against the LA Galaxy, with the proud mom capturing when her “son’s dream [came] true”.
Berry shared the images on Instagram and captioned, “Thank you @mls & @davidbeckham for making my son’s dream come true and for giving me some extra ‘cool mom’ points.”
Berry also posted a follow-up video montage, set to an instrumental version of “Suga Suga” by Baby Bash, of Maceo’s moment with the former Manchester United midfielder, thanking him for his “kindness”.
“When your kid meets his hero and he’s more than he could have ever imagined! Thank you @davidbeckham for being so kind!”
In August of last year, after eight years of marriage, Berry finalized her divorce with ex-husband and father of Maceo, Oliver Martinez.
Divorce documents obtained by TMZ revealed at the time that Berry and the French actor would share joint legal and physical custody of Maceo, which included splitting the week between households and alternating weekends.
In addition to Maceo, Berry is also mother to 15-year-old Nahla Aubry. Berry shares her daughter with her ex, Canadian model 47-year-old Gabriel Aubry.
In a previous exclusive interview, Berry sat down with AARP Magazine telling the outlet that her son and her daughter are her “greatest teachers”.
“My kids have been my greatest teachers. Before the world silences them, they’re truth tellers. And if as adults we’re present and we listen to what they’re saying, we can learn a lot about ourselves and about the world we live in from their perspective,” Berry said in the interview.
“So I listen to them a lot, and I learn. Even when they argue, when they fight, I learn so much from what they know and what they don’t know.”
