Billed as Paris’ first true “gourmet hotel”—where iconic, in-house gourmet products are fully integrated into the hospitality experience—Fauchon L’Hotel Paris is establishing a cult following among lovers of fine food and wine as it gets ready to relaunch its popular restaurant while expanding its concept across the globe.

The five-star Parisian hotel, a member of the prestigious The Leading Hotels of the World alliance, opened in September of 2018 as a place for “discerning hedonists who enjoy the pursuit of pleasure and sensual self-indulgence.”

The 54-room boutique property’s key location in the stylish 8th Arrondissement gives it added cachet. It’s well known for its unique “Fauchon” decor, in hot pink, black, white, and gold, and collection of contemporary French art. And it’s home to the iconic “Gourmet Bar” serving and retailing a wide variety of Fauchon products including champagne, sweets, and savory treats.

Most importantly, for both guests, locals and visitors, is the famed Grand Café Fauchon restaurant with both inside and outside dining, a prime place to see and be seen. The hotel also features a Jardin Des Thés, Beauty Spa, Fitness Center, and a “variety of original Gourmet Moments.”

“The Fauchon brand has been sustainable in time for over 130 years, creating culinary products like teas for over a century,” Jacques-Olivier Chauvin, President & CEO of Fauchon Hospitality, tells Maxim. “This family-minded brand has cultivated its unique point of difference as a purveyor of gourmet products since Auguste Fauchon founded the Maison in 1886.”

“Fauchon is now an iconic Parisian brand because it is continually innovating,” he notes. “This universal brand is now in over 50 countries”—a second Fauchon hotel opened in Kyoto in 2021, and a third is expected in Riyadh in 2026. “While Fauchon is indeed considered to be Parisian because of its glamour, the variety of its products are also very much rooted in all French regions and terroir.”

Chauvin explains that Fauchon expanded into hospitality “because it was the next logical step in the growth of the brand: to provide an immersive Fauchon experience…. Hospitality, per se, has always been in the brand’s DNA. Food and beverage have been the Fauchon business since the beginning and it encompasses a sense of welcoming.”

Ultimately, he tells us, Fauchon “is a ‘designed’ brand with a very graphic identity which is natural to developing a way of living,” from macarons to cocktails and everything in between. Later this year, things are going to heat up even more with the relaunch of the Grand Café Fauchon, “with a new concept supported by a Grand Chef. More details to come.”

You don’t have to be a Barbie fan with a thing for hot pink to enjoy a stay at the Fauchon. You just need an appreciation for the finer things in life, and the French way of doing things with impeccable taste and style—the Fauchon way.
