Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union celebrated the Christmas holiday surrounded by family and friends.
Union took to Instagam on Tuesday to post a carousel of images of herself, her husband, and two girls, all clad in matching Christmas pajamas.
The Perfect Find star captioned the post, “This year we asked for the gift of family, and we were more than blessed.” She concluded, “Wishing you and yours blessings upon blessings.”
Dwyane Wade and Union share five-year-old daughter Kaavia James and Wade brings to the relationship three additional children: 21-year-old son Zaire, 16-year-old daughter Zaya, and 10-year-old son Xavier.
Union and Wade have demonstrated their unwavering support for their children, emphasizing that they will always be there for them, no matter what. This is evident through their unconditional love for their daughter, Zaya Wade.
Zaya came out as a part of the transgender community when she was 12 years old and has been a very vocal supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community ever since.
“Seeing trans celebrities out there acting and modeling and just doing all the things that they love to do is inspiring in itself,” Zaya said in a cover interview for Homme Girls.
She continued, “It showed me that we’re here and we can do it. I hope that I’m that for a lot of people.”
To channel her own inner strength, Zaya leans heavily on the support of her family. In a previous interview with Harper’s Baazar, the teen said that “coming out” was a “big change” and that she and her family “support and love each other and we are grateful”.
“Coming out is such a big change. It’s hard to navigate. We’ve all learned more about each other and the way we can coexist and grow together in this crazy world, especially in the public eye. It’s like a spotlight is always on you. At the end of the day though, we are a family, and we support and love each other and we are grateful.”
