Doja Cat’s Brother Finally Served w/ Temporary Restraining Order After Mom Accused Him of Physically Assaulting Singer

Deborah Sawyer – the mother of famed rapper Doja Cat – is doing what’s needed to protect herself.

Doja Cat and her family have been in the news lately due to serious abuse allegations against the celeb’s brother, Raman Dlamini, 30. Reportedly, Deborah accused her son of being abusive towards not just her but Doja Cat, 28, as well. The judge granted Deborah a temporary restraining order against Raman but did not extend that same order to Doja Cat, real name Amala Dlamini, as the rapper is legally required to file her own request for protection.

According to a report from RadarOnline, after a few attempts to track him down, Raman was finally served with the legal documents demanding he stay away from his 62-year-old mother. Reportedly, Raman was given the order by a deputy sheriff on January 23 at his Studio City, CA, apartment at 7:30 a.m.

Authorities tried to serve Raman two times before – once on January 15 at 6:45 a.m. and again on January 16 at 11:10 a.m. – but legal documents note that there was “no answer at [the] door” during both attempts.

Deborah alleged in her petition for the TRO that Doja Cat “has experienced physical harm such as teeth being knocked out and bruises and lacerations” from her brother.

She also claimed,

“Raman has verbally assaulted her in a very degrading and demeaning [manner]. Raman has made her feel unsafe and traumatized.”

Deborah added that Raman abused her “3 to 10 times recently” and “several times in the past.” She was previously granted a restraining order against her son in 2017.
