DJ Mustard Will Keep Ownership Over His Music Catalogue After Reaching Settlement w/ Ex-Wife Chanel Thierry

Looks like DJ Mustard and his ex-wife were able to reach an amicable solution in their ongoing divorce.

According to a report from Radar Online, a challenge over rights to the music producer’s catalog was dropped recently as the exes both agreed to uphold the terms of their prenup.

As we’ve previously covered, DJ Mustard, real name Dijon Isaiah McFarlane, 33, has been enthralled in a bitter separation from his ex-wife Chanel Thierry. The pair were together for more than a decade before tying the knot, which ultimately ended with them calling it quits a short year later.

Since the break-up, Thierry has been relentless in ensuring that she gets her fair share from the split. She recently challenged their prenuptial agreement and was reportedly seeking a payout based on the music professional’s business dealings. The mom of Mustard’s three children asked the court to approve a monthly child support stipend of $80,000 to maintain the kids’ lifestyle. Additionally, she reportedly attempted to subpoena several of his associated businesses to get information about his financial earnings. Mustard eventually asked the courts to intervene, and a judge ruled that he could keep his assets and was only required to shell out $24,500 in monthly child support.

Now, it seems the two have put the tension behind them. In their most recent divorce filings, both Mustard and Thierry reportedly agreed that the prenup is valid and informed the court that they’ve come to a mutual agreement. The legal document reportedly read:

“The Parties did not lack capacity to enter into the Premarital Agreement on October 9, 2020…[Additionally] The Parties acknowledge and agree that pursuant to their binding and enforceable Premarital Agreement dated October 9, 2020, [Mustard’s] music and music catalog, no matter when it was created, is his sole and separate property.”
