Model Chanel Iman and New England Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux are married! The pair exchanged their vows aboard the Parillion yacht in the Caribbean Sea on February 24th, surrounded by close family and friends.
After exchanging vows in Anguilla, the couple sailed to St Barths for a three-day celebration. As Chanel tells Vogue, “We celebrated for three days on our charter—island hopping and making stops at beach clubs, where it all started.”
Their final destination was Cap Juluca in Anguilla, where they embarked on their honeymoon. However, amidst the bliss, there was a tinge of sadness as Davon’s son couldn’t attend the wedding at the last moment.
Chanel shares, “It was very heartbreaking… We look forward to celebrating our union with him all together at a later date this year [though].”
Chanel, who welcomed her third daughter in May, eagerly awaited the end of football season to marry Davon. Reflecting on the wedding, she expressed gratitude for being able to plan the event of their dreams.
“We planned the wedding the way we desired—doing something together that we love with our kids and our blended family,” she explains. “This was our ideal, dream day. A handful of people attended the wedding—including my best friend and soul sister, Heidy De la Rosa—and we chartered a yacht to sail from island to island in the Caribbean Sea.”
Before exchanging vows, Chanel spent precious moments with her daughters Cali, Cassie, and baby Capri. The trio looked adorable in their flower girl dresses by Mona Lisa. Their presence added an extra layer of warmth and significance to the occasion.
Chanel emphasizes, “Family is everything to me and having my three girls by my side was so special,” says Chanel. “Cali and Cassie were so excited in the weeks leading up to the wedding. My daughters hold a special place in my heart and sharing this moment with them was priceless.”
