BRITTISH WILLIAMS WILL SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH DAUGHTER BEFORE PRISON STINT

British Williams will get to spend Christmas with her five-year-old daughter before commencing her prison term. The former Basketball Wives star, who is facing four-year sentence beginning in the new year, received a 30-day extension from the court. She was originally set to surrender on December 11,2023.

Williams had originally requested for the delay after claiming that she’s the sole caregiver for her daughter and needed extra time to help her child deal with the “upcoming transition” of her leaving. While serving her prison sentence, the reality star’s mother will be responsible for looking after her daughter. Therefore, she is currently assisting her mom in locating a suitable place to reside.

“Ms. Williams and her mother have been working to find the necessary place. They believe that she will be able to move in by the end of December. A little more time is needed to get a suitable living space for them. They have been working on it. They will not need more than a 30-day extension to get all of these issues finalized,” her lawyer said.

Brittish’s legal issues reached a peak in October when she confessed to a range of fraudulent activities spanning from 2017 to 2019. The charges included tax evasion by concealing income and falsifying dependents, 15 felony fraud charges, encompassing Social Security misuse, false IRS statements, and wire fraud. Alongside her prison term, she is mandated to pay $564,000 in restitution.

Brittish Williams also orchestrated fraudulent loan applications, diverting $144,400 for personal use. Exploiting the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic, she acquired $52,647 from Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, making false claims for pandemic relief payouts. Additionally, she submitted fake medical bills, securing a staggering $139,479 through deceptive means.

A judge ruled that Brittish could start her sentence on Jan. 3, 2024, but no later than that.
