BEYONCE AND DAUGHTER BLUE IVY CARTER ATTEND RENAISSANCE FILM PREMIERE

Beyoncé and her daughter, Blue Ivy, graced the premiere of “RENAISSANCE: A Film By Beyoncé” on November 30, 2023. The event, held in London, England, saw the mother-daughter duo elegantly walking the red carpet in matching black attire.

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is the singer’s highly anticipated film chronicling her acclaimed tour by the same name. The documentary, which hits theaters on December 1, gives an inside look at Beyoncé’s experiences during the tour and shines a spotlight on her 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

Blue Ivy made her on-stage debut during the Renaissance tour in May, captivating audiences with her dance performances to the tunes of “My Power” and “Black Parade.” While the majority praised her, there were some trolls who criticized the young talent’s moves as “lackluster.”

However, as revealed in a New York Times review of the film, these critiques did not deter Blue Ivy; instead, they served as motivation for her to excel further and prove the naysayers wrong.

The review suggests that Beyoncé addresses these challenges in the documentary, expressing her initial reluctance to let Blue Ivy take center stage. “She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” Beyoncé reportedly says in the film.

After persistent persuasion, Beyoncé gave in to her daughter, but the aftermath was unexpected. Kyle Buchanan of the NY Times writes, “Though she finally relented, Beyoncé was dismayed when Blue Ivy read comments on social media that criticized her lackluster moves. But it thrilled her mother that instead of quitting, she decided to put in the work and train even harder for future stops.”

Since the publication of the NYT article, many have come to Blue’s defense. One supporter exclaimed, “Blue Ivy read the comments y’all made on her dancing with her own eyes, & STILL decided to train even harder. That’s what we call a QUEEN!”

Blue Ivy Carter, 11, is the eldest child of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who also have 6-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir.
